'THE WEDDING FORECAST is the definition of feel-good fiction. A romantic delight from cover to cover.' Rachael Johns

The sparkling, relatable, hilarious and sexy adult romantic comedy from the author of the much-loved It Sounded Better in My Head and Unnecessary Drama.

One thirty-year-old whose life is not quite the dream she'd hoped for.
One best friend's wedding.
One ex and his new partner.
One slightly famous actor from New York.
One photographer called Patrick.
And a predication that looks like it's about to come true.

Anna was never going to have an easy time at her best friend's wedding. But she has all her feelings completely under control-right up until the moment her ex drops a bombshell that rocks her to her core.

She needs a distraction, and a psychic's forecast about her love life might be the answer. Patrick, the wedding photographer, fits the prediction-could he be her soulmate? Everyone has decided he is perfect for her. He is perfect for her.

But the arrival of Mac, a not-quite-famous actor who has flown in from New York, complicates everything.

Much-loved YA author Nina Kenwood hits the spot with her first novel for adults. Laugh-out-loud funny with chemistry that jumps off the page, The Wedding Forecast will be the feel-good romcom of the summer.

Nina Kenwood won the Text Prize for her debut YA novel, It Sounded Better in My Head, which went on to be published in six languages, was a finalist for the American Library Association's William C Morris Award, as well as being shortlisted for several Australian awards. Her second book, Unnecessary Drama, continued her success both in Australia and overseas. The Wedding Forecast is Nina's first novel for adults.

PRAISE FOR THE WEDDING FORECAST

'Romantic comedy with a great twist...A very intelligent, kind book...What Nina Kenwood does so well is that she takes you not just into the happy endings (though there's a lot of joy and humour), but looks at what Anna does when life doesn't go the way she thought it would...It's lovely.' Michaela Kalowski, ABC TV Weekend Breakfast

'A romantic comedy that dwells, rather sweetly, as much on female friendship and finding your path in life as it does on finding love...Kenwood has a genuine gift for comedy, and the book bubbles along.' Age

PRAISE FOR NINA KENWOOD

'A romantic comedy that brings the rom and tons of the com...Sidesplitting comic writing and an appealingly messy protagonist to root for.' Kirkus (starred review) on Unnecessary Drama

'One of the most hilarious books I have read in a very long time...Pure magic and an absolute delight to read.' Readings on Unnecessary Drama

Nina Kenwood’s new adult romantic comedy, The Wedding Forecast, is sexy, fun and hard to put down. Kenwood, who previously wrote for young adults (It Sounded Better in My Head, Unnecessary Drama), shines in creating an electric romance for protagonist Anna, a debut author who has recently left an eight-year relationship. When she’s forced to encounter her ex and his new partner at her best friend’s wedding, it kickstarts a new whirlwind journey for her. Kenwood is skilled at setting a fast pace and creating an irresistible romance between Anna and new love interest Mac that is vulnerable, steamy and tender. However, at times, I found the quick pace worked against the book, especially when Anna’s complicated emotions about her recent breakup were resolved too abruptly. Mac is charismatic and thoroughly enjoyable to read about, yet his sudden change in attitude towards commitment (after spending most of the novel avoiding it) seems suspicious, even through the rosiest romantic lenses. Despite this, Kenwood manages to push through most of these practical qualms thanks to the sheer charm and chemistry between the characters—including an endearing cast of supporting characters in Anna’s best friend, Hayley, and their sweet, meddling mums—and will evoke in readers the same giddy hopefulness Anna experiences. The Wedding Forecast will be loved by fans of Emily Henry on the lookout for a cosy and dreamy wintertime romance.
